It is official, attending live music events makes you feel better.

So if life is getting you down and even if it’s not, turn off the TV and get into live music. Whether to listen or participate, here are some FREE or very low price events.

Regular live music events that you can be part of..any day of the week

Monday you can tune into 3D Radio 93.7FM Hill Billy Hoot on Monday nights 8-9pm you may hear me and other talented locals or listen online www.threedradio.com OR come to Lindey Reserve Nelson St Stepney and be part of the fun live! FREE Event

You can then go onto Billy Bob’s BBQ Jam at The Grace Emily in Waymouth St for more smashing open mic antics. Yes there is a BBQ! FREE Event

Tuesday sees the Acoustic Club Sessions at The Metro Grote St. FREE Event

Open mic TuesdayThe Goody, 75 Goodwood Rd launched last year. Starts 7-10pm

Wednesday  The Brecknock Open Mic. Sign up with Marcus from 6:30 for a 7:30 start. FREE

SCALA [Songwriters Composers And Lyricists] created to give local musicians a stage in the [be]wilderness of the music industry. Support local talent by checking out the fortnightly Thursday night Live  @ The Wheaty, Music starts 8pm. SCALA members FREE (another reason to join) $5 for non-members. NB: Live shows will resume January 17, 2019

Friday is now the night for The Gov Open Mic from 8pm. Just turn up or sign up at fridayfreeforall@thegov.com.au

Fourth Saturday of each month, Brian Doddridge hosts an Open Mic at Wassail Wine Bar. Register with Brian from 6:30 for a 7:30pm  start. [Check FB page each month for possible changes]

First and third Saturday Ross Voss legendary Variety Show at The Gov Front Bar is also in recess while the boss is over thrilling the crowds at Edinburgh Fringe. Check the Gov gig guide to see when it resumes.
