Northern Lights

October 2018,  I made my annual pilgrimage north to visit family and old friends. This year the trip was in warmer weather than usual. I also took my husband, eldest son and his partner with me this time, making it a little different.

We landed there right on my mother’s birthday. Carinya Aged Care, where she now resides, celebrates everyone’s birthday on the second Tuesday of the month. In the afternoon, they had their ‘Happy Hour’ and served beer and wine. I was invited to perform for everyone during this happy afternoon event. Mum turned an amazing 93!

A Week in June

I enjoyed a week in the Far North in June 2017, spending time with family and friends while performing my songs.

Had a gorgeous morning with the residentsat Carinya Home for the Aged Tuesday June 6th, I presented a set of songs after sharing a delicious Birthday Morning Tea where there were five birthdays being celebrated!

Also invited to perform at a large family gathering at Foxwell Park Restaurant on Wednesday 7th.

Friday June 9th, I was honoured to be special guest at ORB [Old RSL Building], where Atherton’s best music venue, The Shed has recently relocated after several years. Also appearing were two local groups, The Lava Sisters and the Billy Turner Trio.  Big thanks to Lois McAdam for managing the night and the venue.
